Academic & Knowledge Sharing
Symposia
Organized by the member universities of AEARU, symposia/conferences on various topics in diverse academic fields are held regularly throughout the year. Associating with other similar organizations and communities, AEARU often co-hosts international conferences focusing on global issues relevant to today’s technology advanced society.
Workshops
To share the latest information and knowledge about current issues of science, technology, and other academic fields, various workshops are voluntarily organized by AEARU members. The following workshops are regularly held by the association.
Student Mobility
Camps
Two different kinds of camp are organized for students every summer: general and topical. The general summer camp usually consists of activities such as historical site visits, talent shows, dance parties, and laboratory experiences, whereas the topical summer camp invites students to a conference or seminar with a specific theme related to a particular area of science and technology.
The Global Learning Initiatives Program was launched in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its goal was to combine resources from multiple top universities to provide a unique international learning experience. Through the program, students accessed innovative courses from different universities to supplement their learning portfolios. As the pandemic has subsided, the program was phased out in 2024. We are now focusing on providing alternative offline opportunities to our members.
Student Competitions
Sports Competitions
With the purpose of offering valuable cultural experiences to students of member universities, the first physical competition was held in 2006 in Beijing, China. Through a common interest in sports, students develop a closer relationship with other students from different cultural backgrounds. This sports activity improves not only the participants’ health, but also broadens their horizons culturally.
